It would be so helpful if there was a way to allow clients to forward emails (with needed documents in it) directly to the portal/files. Currently they will just send me the emails and I have to get them in the documents file as they feel it is easier for them to just forward the email instead of uploading the documents. Making them adhere to uploading the documents causes friction between my offices and the clients. Adding email access to the portal would help this.

Thank you for adding the new client portal view—it’s very helpful to see what clients see. One enhancement I'd love to see is a more prominent indicator for unread comments . Currently, clients have to open tasks (even closed ones) to know whether new comments have been added. A badge, notification, or unread comment count in the portal would make it much easier for clients to spot new activity and respond more quickly. This would help keep projects moving forward and reduce missed communications.

Can we offer a collapse option to make it easier for clients to view transactions on their browser vs having to scroll back & forth a ton?

Users are accidentally creating duplicate clients which can be confusing. It would be nice if it would check for customers who are close in naming and not just exact matches. For example John Doe John MiddleName Doe

It is very common that clients come to us as an unmarried couple, then eventually get married. It should be very easy to combine their single profiles and keep all their records in one place when they get married. Should be a very simple fix.

Please make client tasks more detailed similar to the practice tasks. Or, a way to add images and links. Basically, they aren't dynamic enough.

It would be nice to be able to designate team members in the client portal so they know who to contact for questions. Right now they list team members and contact information but there's no info on the person's title so often admin gets clients emailing us tax questions when they should go to their preparer.

Too many places to upload docs for one client, especially for a client who you do personal and business taxes for as they have multiple profiles and upload stuff everywhere and sometimes upload the personal docs into the business profile and vice versa. CPA then takes longer than needed to try and look/find them

It would be nice to be able to set an out of office notification through FC.

Often after I have closed a project, a client will want to add an additional comment or up-load a document, but they are unable to because the project is closed. They end up emailing me directly and that works, but takes away the benefit of their comment or document still being tied directly to a given project or task. Additionally, there are times when a project is basically complete and I would like to close it to get it off my workflow, but there could be a small open client task that the client can still work on/complete after I close it. If they could still work on their task after I close the project, it would benefit/cleanup my workflow without having to either re-assign the task to the next project or to keep the project open and have so many projects clogging up workflows.
