Files Uploaded on Team Tasks or Client Tasks Display on the Project

Whenever either a team member or a client uploads a document to a task, show that same file on the "Files" tab of the Project so that it's easy to locate uploaded documents.

Have documents uploaded by clients to client tasks automatically be saved to Files in a folder called “Client Task Uploads” or something like that.

Currently, it appears that documents uploaded by clients to client tasks are not saved in Files and they have to be manually saved there. I think it would be useful to have documents uploaded by clients to client tasks automatically saved to Files so that no client uploads get overlooked.

I would also LOVE if we could be able to re-name files uploaded by clients. We have a standard naming system that we like to use and are unable to remain consistent since we can't rename any files that they've uploaded.

It would also be great if we could route the files that clients upload to tasks directly to their client uploads folder

Frank Perdue, could you kindly clarify? If a client uploads a document on a client task, it will populate under
Files > Project Files > [Project Name] > Client task attachments
. Is this what you're looking for?B

Amanda Aparicio I see where the issue is. If I'm in a project and click Files, the project files do not show. you have to back out of the project then click files/project files before you see the files.

Bill Sherbert, ah okay! So you're essentially looking for this? https://financial-cents.canny.io/feedback/p/files-uploaded-on-team-tasks-or-client-tasks-display-on-the-project
Just wanna verify before merging your post with that one!

Amanda Aparicio I think they're specifically talking about the comment under that feedback item requesting that the file show up in a folder marked Client Uploads so it's clear that the file came directly from a client uploading it.
