We've released several new features and enhancements to existing features over the past weeks:
  • Ability to edit recurring invoices
  • Notes on projects
  • Display client uploads on Client Tasks on the
    Files
    tab
  • Additional information and filtering on the
    Workflow > Tasks
    page
  • Partial payments for Firm Users
Edit Recurring Invoices
Previously, if you wanted to edit a recurring invoice, you had to delete the invoice altogether and then recreate it. Now, you have the option to edit the recurrence from the Client Details under the
Billing
tab.

This makes it easier to keep recurring invoices up to date with pricing changes, additional services, etc.
Project Notes
Within each project, you now have the ability to add any notes relevant to that specific project for use by your team.

Within the notes, you can:
  • Bold, underline, strikethrough, and italicize text
  • Insert links
  • Create headers
  • Make lists
  • Make tables
  • And more!
Additionally, if you have a recurring project, the notes on the previous project will carry over onto the newly created project so that your team always has access to the most up-to-date notes.
Lastly, you have the ability to control which types of team members can make edits to notes under the permission called
Edit Project Notes
found on the
User Permissions
page.
Client Upload Improvements
One piece of feedback we've heard is that it's challenging to access client uploads on Client Tasks. As a first step towards improving this experience, we now display files uploaded by clients on the
Files
tab of the project.

Additionally, if you need to quickly view the task itself, you can click the three ellipses on the file and choose
View Task
.

In a future release, we plan on adding bulk actions in the
Files
tab, too -- stay tuned!
Additional Information in the
Task
View
We've made a few changes to the
Task
view:
  • The
    Projects
    column now includes tags and the accounting period
  • When viewing Completed tasks, the completion date now has its own column so that you can sort by this data
  • The
    Due Date
    filter now allows for custom date range selection
Animation
This gives your firm more customization of this view so that you can tailor it to suite your needs.
Partial Payments for Firm Users
After our initial release of the partial payments feature, we received feedback that
firm users
would like the ability to make partial payments on invoices, regardless of if
clients
are allowed to make partial payments.
As a result, you can now click
Make a Payment
on an invoice, and select a partial amount to apply (be it a manual payment, CC payment, or ACH payment).
