It is really important that the pre-tax amount is shown as the quoted amount on a proposal, or at least that this is an option to toggle on. The pre-tax amount is set by the firm, and the sales tax, which is mostly refundable in Canada and many other jurisdictions, is not within our control and could change, so it doesn't make sense for it to be lumped in to the proposal price. Plus, it is not even a real cost to the client as they get it refunded to them, so it makes proposals overstate the cost of the service.
