We have been inputting budgeted time at the project level thinking this would help and reflect in our capacity planning. I recently learned that the budged time gets allocated evenly to the project tasks, which is fine for default. I NEED the default allocation to visually SHOW in/at the task level which it currently does not (unless I put a number in for the budget time at the task level) AND also if we edit a task's budgeted time, it needs to REALLOCATE the remaining time to the non-specified/default tasks budgeted time. For example, if the budgeted time for the Project is 4 hrs and there are 8 Tasks, by default, each task would receive .5 hrs which would show next to the tasks the way it does if we manually enter the budgeted task time. And IF I change one task to 2 hrs and another task to 1 hr, the remaining budgeted hour would get allocated to the remaining 6 tasks. (If the system does do this and I missed the memo, let me know!) This would be HUGE for us as we try to build out the capacity management side of the system and business. Right now, the pieces are there but not integrating or working in a way that is practical or easy to use and makes the capacity report unreliable.
