QBO & FC integration

Feature where you can merge clients in financial cents. We have an issue where we start client in Financial Cents then once onboarded we get access to their QBO so its creating two clients each time.

Emma Finigan, instead of importing the client from QBO, you can link the existing client in FC to the client within QBO. Steps for how to do that here!

Amanda Aparicio be cautious on this one. We have tried to clean up duplicate clients in FC manually, and because of the FC/QBO sync, we ended up deleting their QBO (not the billing client in our QBO, but their actual QBO). Luckily, after getting on the phone with Intuit, they were able to restore them. Because of this, we have left the duplicates and sometimes triplets of clients in FC and marked the non-billing ones in FC so as not to use them.

Robert McGee, this comment worried me, so I checked with the team, and this isn't possible on our end (deleting the client in FC couldn't cause deletion of their QBO). If you can recall the steps that you took originally, that might help us to see what the issue potentially was!

Please put this at the top of your list!!! After sending a proposal to a client and getting their preferred payment on file, THEN they give us access to their QBO file and this creates a duplicate. The MEC features are in the connected QBO client, but the proposal and billing info is in the non-connected client. This also makes the invoicing a total pain because time is logged by workers in both clients, not knowing which one to use. It also interrupts the ability to add clients tasks in a workflow, because if the workflow is not in the QBO-connected client, then you can't send them uncat transactions to classify. It's not appropriate to ask a client for preferred payment methods during a proposal, and then have to ask the to do it again in their QBO-connected client file. It looks unprofessional, as if we have messed things up on our end. PLEASE MAKE THIS A PRIORITY!

This is a very important feature that should be very high on the to do list.

Agree this is important, I keep having so many duplicates because of QBO.

Please put merging duplicate clients at the top of your list. If we create a client in order to send them a proposal, and THEN they accept and give us access to their QBO file, we now have 2 clients with the same name - one with the signed proposal and the other with the QB connection. It would be much better to have all of this information in one client altogether.

Merging Client Profiles

There needs to be a way to merge clients, marking inactive is not sufficient enough as I want to see any and all notes and time tracked for clients and unfortunately sometimes a client is created more than once - like with a nickname

In QuickBooks, if you rename a vendor, customer, etc the exact same as another (including capitalization and punctuation) it asks if you want to merge the two. It would be so helpful in FC too!
