It would be so cool if you guys built in a customizable client tax organizer into the client portal. Just a checkmark and text box functionality similar to the tasks, when a client checks the box they can either type out a question or description or upload a document related. Let us create a template to update YoY so we can gather any important changes the client had.

The ability to have a client complete a FC onboarding form via the client portal & those fields auto populate in FC. Or the ability to have a client complete onboarding forms not in FC/client portal & those form fields would automatically sync into FC database fields. This would reduce manual onboarding data entry by firm employees.

Hello, we came across StanfordTax for tax organizers, and their workaround is a real time-saver. We’re not sure whether something similar could be created for organizers within Financial Cents or can be integrated with Financial Cents in the future.

For those in the comments, we are creating a quasi organizer in our tax prep project, in the client to do section. We are manually loading all of the information for each client. (Yes it is a PITA, and yes, it is very time consuming). We will setup the request for information on a specific start date, and then trigger auto-reminders to the clients. We'd rather invest the time (~30 min/ client) now, rather than Jan-April.

Jenna Lee Dillon: after conducting our initial research, we decided to delay this project in favor of our new Month End Close feature. We did this because the amount of work to build a
proper
organizer feature meant that we most likely would not have it ready before tax season. That said, we plan to work on this in 2026!J

Amanda Aparicio Clearly a tax organizer would be quite involved. But I'm still having to use Google Forms for client intake questionnaires and then having to manually enter the info in their FC profile. That's absurdly manual. During the sales process, I was assured there would be a form fill feature in the fall (November at the latest) because the current product owner specialized in that type of software. It's super disappointing that it didn't happen as it was communicated to me as a done deal.

Jenna Lee Dillon, apologies about that! Definitely understand that having a form fill which auto-populates into FC would be a huge time saver! If you'd like, I can add you to our beta testers so that once we have a beta version ready, you can test it out and give feedback. Do note that the first iteration of this tool won't have the "auto-populate information into FC" quite yet as we first will build the form fill part, then add on enhancements afterwards. If joining the beta is still of interest, please do let me know!!

Amanda Aparicio Yes, I'd like to be in the beta. Where would the information "go" if it doesn't auto-populate into FC's About section? As in, where would it be stored? Right now, though it's off-FC, it's very easy for me to access and organize client's answers to Google forms.

Amanda Aparicio well next year is here and now. Jan 2026... So what's the Update or Plan on this improvement? what is the roadmap plan for this.. could you have a working group of users to advise on the exact functions( tax Organizer)? BETA version to Circulate and get FC Users to vote on? Maybe expand it to cover both personal taxes, Corporate taxes , and Estate Taxes As well as Related Consulting/Advisory Services.
Yes related is Tax Planning for Corporate or Personal Taxes. Similar workflows, but much different forms for each type of Tax Files.

Jenna Lee Dillon, for the first iteration, the information will be stored on the form itself within FC. So there'll be a new section on your account (kinda like with Billing) for "Forms and Organizers", and when you click into the specific form, you'll be able to see the client response. Make a typeform type questionnaire to send to clients to ask questions more cleaner than the current client asks. Such as require date, yes or no, etc
