To add to this request I’ve had for years, include format since you don’t want to create a drop down with every variable such as date. But, you do want everyone formatting the same way. As examples formats: Date, yes/no, text, number. So users would have to input a number in the field formatted as number, etc.

Then the ability to add the custom field to views (contact list, by groups, etc). And also ability to use in reports add as a column and as a filter.

Example use: custom drop down for entity type: could then see 1120 verses 1040 customer, revenue by this field. User awareness when supporting customer AND ability to analyze revenue by, capacity by, etc.

Example fields: Entity type, FYE, year started business, [Payroll, Sales Tax - such as Yes/No, frequency, who prepares? Us/them], Client Industry, location(time zone), hrs of operation.

Just start with the field with drop-downs and format and build the field usage in all other areas in time, pretty please :)
