This week, we released an updated and improved Team Chat, estimated Future Payouts information for US-based users, more QuickBooks Online sync options, and improvements to QuickBooks Online syncing for Canada-based users to simplify reconciliation.
Team Chat Improvements 🎉
We’ve improved the Team Chat experience by doing the following:
- Replies.Based on popular demand, you can now click the “Reply To” option to easily reply to team member’s chats. Additionally, clicking on any “Reply To” message will navigate you directly to the original chat, making it easier to track ongoing conversations.
- Centralized Chats.Any comments on a task will now display at the project level, and any project level Team Chats will now display at the Client level. This improves visibility by centralizing all communications at the client level.
- Search Team Chat.If you’re looking for a specific message in your team chats, you can now search all team chats via theClient Detailspage, making it quick to locate historical messages.
- Revamped Look.We’ve updated the look and feel of Team Chats to be more modern and user-friendly.
QuickBooks Online Sync Options
When dealing with processing fees in QuickBooks Online, we now have two additional configurations:
- Processing Fee Service Item.Specify which Service Item should be used to record processing fees. Note that the selected Service Item will show up on invoices.
- Processing Fee Tax Codes (for Canada-based users only).Select which tax code should be applied on processing fees
These options can be found on the Billing > Settings page.
Estimated Future Payouts (US-based Users)
For US-based users, we now include the expected amount to be paid out for both tomorrow and the future, so that you can readily keep track of incoming payments.
Changes to QuickBooks Online Syncing (Canada-based Users)
Processing fees and deposits will now sync to QuickBooks Online for future invoices in order to simplify reconciliation. Once a successful payout has been made to your account, Financial Cents will sync the payment, processing fees, and taxes to a
Bank Deposit
record in QuickBooks Online so that you can easily see the details of each transaction.
