AI File Renaming is now Live ✨, New Quality Control Reports, and Rename Client Task Files

We have some new updates for you this past week:
  • AI File Renaming is now live!
  • Profit & Loss report in MEC [🧪Beta]
  • Balance Sheet report in MEC [🧪Beta]
  • Rename client task attachments
AI File Renaming is now LIVE!
AI File Renaming is officially out of beta and available to every firm!

If you tried the beta, everything you set up carries right over. Otherwise, if you want to modify your settings further, head to
Settings > AI Agents
.
With this feature, files your clients upload through
Client Files
or a
Client Task
are automatically renamed to match your firm's convention. Choose
Just Do It
to rename on upload or
Always Ask
to review each suggestion first, and set different conventions for bookkeeping, tax, and other documents so every file lands with the right name.
Each AI-renamed file is marked with a ✨ and keeps its original name, so nothing is ever lost. More information on this feature can be found here!

Month End Close
projects and pull live data straight from QuickBooks. Here's what you can do:
  • Scan month-over-month columns to spot inconsistencies at a glance
  • Drill into any account to see the transactions behind the number, then edit or bulk-update them with your changes syncing back to QBO
  • Add commentary to a value that sticks across every period, so known anomalies never need re-explaining
  • Auto-flag unusual variances on the
    Profit & Loss
  • Export either report to Excel
Rename Client Task Attachments
You can now rename any file a client uploads to a
Client Task
!

You can rename files at both the project level and the client level, so client task files can stay just as tidy as everything else in your account. Note that this change only applies to files uploaded moving forward, not historical files.
